The Three Most Important Parts in Your Vehicle

Do you know how many total parts are in your car? Would you be surprised to learn that it’s probably around 30,000? And while all of these parts have a role to play, some are clearly more essential than others.
Here we discuss three Mercedes-Benz parts that you would be wise to treat especially carefully.
1. Engine/Motor
The engine – or motor, if you drive an electric vehicle – has to be considered the most important part of your car. Fortunately, for the life of your vehicle, the engine does a pretty good job of taking care of itself.
There is one major thing you need to do, however: get the oil changed. Fresh and clean oil has to flow through the engine to keep it healthy and running optimally.
2. Brakes
Coming in at a close second in terms of importance is your braking system. When it comes to safety, there is perhaps nothing more critical. Think about how often you need to slam on your brakes dealing with bad drivers or pedestrians not paying attention. Your braking system should be inspected closely every year to make sure the pads, rotors, and other parts are working as they should.
3. Tires
For both performance and safety, you can’t give short shrift to your tires. They have to be in good condition to keep you safe out on the road, and this means having deep treads to supply adequate traction.
The best way to ensure that all four tires wear down evenly is to have them rotated about every six months. They also need to be inflated to the proper level so you will have the best fuel economy.
If these parts or any others in your car need some maintenance, contact the service center at Mercedes-Benz of Los Angeles to make an appointment.
