Mercedes-Benz Service

A consistently mild climate is one of the best things about living in the Los Angeles area. However, if you’re a car owner, it has at least one downside: it’s easy to miss the seasonal cues that folks in colder climates rely on to alert them it’s time for maintenance. Mercedes-Benz of Los Angeles is taking this opportunity to remind you to schedule Mercedes-Benz service to get your car ready for the warmer months, including three tasks that are especially important this time of year.

Tire Pressure Inspection

The air pressure in your tires doesn’t always stay the same. As the temperature rises or falls, so does your tires’ air pressure. We suggest getting a tire pressure gauge from our Mercedes-Benz parts department, monitoring tire pressure periodically, and adjusting as necessary. Your tires’ sidewalls will list the recommended PSI.

Battery Test

While we don’t have to worry about frigid temperatures wreaking havoc on our car batteries, this doesn’t mean you can forget them. You should make a point to have your battery tested, cleaned, and maintained at least once a year and replace it if it’s nearing the end of its service life (typically five to six years).

Fluids Check

Numerous systems in your vehicle require fluids. It’s possible that over the last few months, some of these have been depleted. You’ll want to have all these checked to ensure they are at the correct levels. It may also be time to have the oil or transmission fluid replaced.
