How Often are Car Inspections Required?
In Los Angeles County, vehicles must undergo an emissions test every two years. Your vehicle must pass the inspection before you can renew it so make sure you schedule it appropriately.
Keep in mind, once you pass the test, you have 90 days to renew your registration before the test is considered invalid and it has to be completed again.
