If you own a Mercedes-Benz GUARD 360°®-equipped model, you have a feature working every time you walk away from your car. Here is what it does, what you need to activate it, and what it can realistically promise.

What It Does for You

Mercedes-Benz GUARD 360°® keeps watch over your car while you are away from it. Using your vehicle’s available exterior cameras, it monitors the surrounding area and can tell when something bumps into it. When that happens, it captures photos with those same cameras and sends you an alert through the Mercedes-Benz app, so you know right away.

Getting It Turned On

Mercedes-Benz GUARD 360°® is not something that simply comes switched on in your car. To turn it on, you will need a Mercedes me® ID, agreement to the Digital Extras terms of use, your vehicle paired to that account, and an active Mercedes me® connect subscription. Once it is running, alerts come through the Mercedes-Benz app, which works with your Apple iPhone®, Apple Watch®, or Android device.

What It Can, and Cannot, Promise You

Mercedes-Benz GUARD 360°® only sees and records what is within your car’s camera range, and it may not activate in every situation. Think of it as an alert system rather than a guarantee. It is built to tell you something happened, not to promise your car will never be broken into, vandalized, or involved in an accident.
