Several new and future Mercedes-Benz vehicles will come standard with this latest version of Mercedes-Benz User Experience, which provides advanced virtual assistant, navigation, entertainment, and productivity capability. Here is an overview of how the MBUX™ system works.

How the MBUX™ System Enhances Connectivity

One of the latest innovations in the MBUX™ system is the addition of ChatGPT, a Large Language Model (LLM) that generates responsive text. The MBUX™ virtual assistant utilizes ChatGPT to learn from customer actions and preferences to create a highly personalized in-vehicle assistant. For instance, if a driver sets the temperature in the vehicle to a specific temperature at a particular time of day, the MBUX™ system will learn from that action and automatically set the temperature for you.

MBUX™ Surround Navigation

Another way the MBUX™ system helps to enhance the driver experience is by adding a new element to conventional in-vehicle navigation apps. This includes adding 3D graphics that indicate hazards, pedestrians, and traffic ahead, which provides drivers with a comprehensive view of their surroundings. Additionally, the MBUX™ system leverages over-the-air updates to continuously enhance features, apps, and content based on driver actions and regional preferences.

MBUX™ Virtual Assistant

Finally, drivers can customize the advanced MBUX™ Virtual Assistant with four personality traits: Predictive, Natural, Personal, and Empathetic. It employs generative AI, situational context, and learned behavior to offer personalized suggestions based on your statements, actions, and moods.
