AMG® Petronas: The Season So Far
While there is still a lot of 2024 left, the year has already proven to be an exciting one for Formula 1 racing team AMG® Petronas. If you haven’t been following the season, Mercedes-Benz of Los Angeles wants to get you up to speed. Here are some of the notable events from the last several months.
British Grand Prix at Silverstone
Lewis Hamilton has been having quite a year in a career that has already earned him legend status. This was on full display at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, where he earned his 104th career win and a record-ninth British Grand Prix victory.
Austrian Grand Prix
The Austrian Grand Prix had a thrilling finish, full of lead changes and wrecks. George Russell pulled out a narrow win and became only the second driver to claim victory at the circuit at F3, F2, and F1 levels.
Formula 2
We can’t forget about Formula 2 when recapping 2024. Kimi Antonelli won his first race at the Silverstone Sprint race and then won his first Feature Race just a couple of weeks later. After the first ten rounds of the season, he is P6 in the standings.
F1 Academy
The second season of F1 Academy began in Saudi Arabia in March. In Jeddah, junior driver Doriane Pin had a dominant race, taking two poles. This season, she has also competed in WEC and FRECA.
